Bristol-born Arcadia returns to the city with a performance in Queens Square featuring a robotic 50 tonne spider created from recycled military and industrial machinery, breathing fire from biofuel. The spectacular show "Metamorphosis" - run in partnership with Bristol Green Capital - uses cutting edge technology and effects - from acrobatics to lasers alongside a DJ sound system. Celebrating success of Bristol Whales in Millennium Square

The hugely popular Bristol Whales art installation will be moving to the Portway shortly. To celebrate its success - the BBC's Big Blue Live was screened in Millennium Square, showing footage of the threatened blue whale in Monterey Bay, California. The installation highlights the fragility of our oceans and is made of willow from Somerset and 70,000 plastic bottles. Bristol Green Capital is urging people to swap plastic bottles for reusable ones to help save our seas. http://www.apeuk.org
