Big Commuting Challenge

The Big Commuting Challenge runs for the whole of June and is encouraging people to find alternatives to single occupant car journeys. Now three quarters of the way through and I've car shared, walked over 9 miles, cycled and gone by bus plus worked from home. In the three weeks I've done it I have saved - according to the Challenge calculator - 27kg of co2, used 1,394 calories (equivalent to 7.9 doughnuts) and saved £34.89. I've been much more aware of sights around the city as I've travelled without the car and been generally more relaxed and energised at work. There's still time for others to join and log their journeys retrospectively for the month...
