Young people from Bristol developed the tree planting app, Democratree, during Young Rewired State festival at KWMC. We have been developing it further with them and are now piloting the app, available for android phones and on the website www.democratree.org.uk. If you are interested in having your say on where trees should be planted in Bristol, be sure to plot a tree on the Democratree map, give it a name and write the story of why you want it. Be sure to vote on other people's trees, as the trees with the most votes get sent to Bristol's One Tree Per Child project who will look into planting them with Bristol City Council.

Found this little guy (plus loads of his friends) feeding on ragwort in a front yard in Easton. After a bit of research I have found that he will turn into the cinnabar moth eventually.

So lush finally seeing the Aquarium by Millennium Square. Reminds me when I was little I wished I was living 'Under the Sea'!

Attended a partnership meeting for the Mayor's One Tree Per Child scheme today at Ashton Court. A beautiful setting, perfect for imagining the 35,000 trees that will be planted for Bristol's primary school children. Have a look at KWMC's new app Democratree www.democratree.org.uk to suggest a place for a tree to be planted or to vote on others that have been suggested.
