Bristol band supports jazz legend Hugh Masekela

Bristol band Helele supported South African Jazz legend Hugh Masekela at the Bath International Music Festival last night. The world acclaimed trumpeter and his band played the final gig of the festival to a sell out crowd at The Forum in Bath. Helele - the five-piece Afro Jazz band led by Cameroon-born Alphonse Touna warmed up the audience with an uplifting and exuberant set which sat perfectly with the headline act.

Vegfest at Harbourside

One of Europe's largest Vegfests came to Bristol over the Bank Holiday weekend. Stalls selling veggie and vegan products, cookery demos and live music attracted crowds. The chance to taste some interesting and unique alternatives to meat and dairy based products makes this annual event on the harbourside popular with veggies and meat-eaters alike.
